EX-IMMIGRATION BOSS FOUND DEAD IN ABUJA HOTEL ROOM AFTER FEMALE VISITOR—POLICE CONFIRM INVESTIGATION

The mystery surrounding the sudden death of former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. David Shikfu Parradang, has sent shockwaves across the country. While initial speculations ran wild, the FCT Police Command has officially debunked claims of kidnapping or assassination, confirming instead that he was found lifeless inside his Abuja hotel room after receiving a female guest.

FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOTEL ROOM

According to an official police statement, Mr. Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, Abuja, on March 3, 2025, around noon, arriving in a black Mercedes Benz and paying ₦22,000 for a one-night stay.

Shortly after settling in, he requested a hotel attendant to escort a female visitor to his room. The woman reportedly left around 4:00 PM, and Mr. Parradang was not seen leaving his room afterward.

By 4:00 AM on March 4, a concerned friend—a military officer—traced him to the hotel after multiple unanswered calls. Upon arrival, the officer, along with the hotel receptionist, proceeded to his room, where they found him dead, seated in a chair.

NO SIGNS OF KIDNAPPING OR ASSASSINATION – POLICE SPEAKS

Contrary to online speculations suggesting a violent end, the FCT Police Command swiftly dismissed any claims of abduction or assassination.

“We urge the public and media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information, including claims of kidnapping, that may incite fear or panic.”

According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police PRO, police officers from Durumi Police Station were immediately dispatched to the scene, securing the area, taking photographs, and collecting crucial evidence to ensure a thorough investigation.

His body was transferred to the National Hospital for further medical examination. The hotel staff are currently cooperating with investigators, and efforts are ongoing to locate the female visitor who was the last known person to have seen him alive.

QUESTIONS REMAIN AS INVESTIGATION INTENSIFIES

While the police continue their investigation, several burning questions remain unanswered:

  • Who was the female visitor, and what was her relationship with the deceased?
  • Was there foul play, or did the ex-immigration boss die of natural causes?
  • Why was he found seated in a chair, with no immediate signs of struggle?

The police have assured the public that updates will be provided as more details emerge.

For now, the sudden demise of David Parradang remains a chilling mystery, and all eyes are on the FCT Police Command as Nigerians demand the truth behind the shocking incident.
