Davido Speaks on Big-3 Disconnect: “Me, Wizkid, and Burna Boy Don’t Really Communicate Anymore”
Nigerian superstar Davido has opened up about his relationship with fellow Afrobeats giants, Wizkid and Burna Boy, acknowledging that the trio, often referred to as the “Big-3,” no longer communicate as closely as they once did.
In a candid statement, Davido reflected on their connection, saying, “We’re the Big-3, and I think we should communicate more often. We have each other’s numbers and we do talk, but we’re no longer that connected.” He went on to explain that despite this distance, there’s no bad blood between them: “It’s all love.”
Davido attributed the growing gap to their diverse backgrounds and individual paths to success: “Everybody grew up differently, in different parts of Nigeria, under different conditions, and God blessed us.” He noted that their varying priorities and busy lives have contributed to the lack of frequent communication, but he remains “cool” with the situation.
Despite the disconnect, Davido’s comments reaffirm that there’s mutual respect and admiration between the three Afrobeats icons.
