“I have always liked Fave’s music, especially what she did on Olamide’s album. After I saw what she did on Olamide’s album, I was like, ‘Who is this girl?’ So I always wanted to work with her,” Davido stated.
He recounted how he reached out to Fave during his vacation, expressing his desire to collaborate. “Then I DMed her and I was like, ‘Yoo, I want us to work ooh.’ And she told me that it’s the message she’s been waiting for all her life.” Fave sent him a few ideas to choose from, but Davido encouraged her to go with any concept, showcasing his versatility as an artist. After a few weeks, Fave sent him a track with an open verse.
Davido wasted no time, completing his part in just five minutes. “Trust me, I went, did my own thing in 5 minutes, sent it back, we linked up at the studio, I played her my verse, and that was it.”
