Congolese have got energy which is fearless and they’re conquerors who ain’t afraid of anything. Congolese will literally go toe-to-toe with a gorilla and win.”
Akon’s remarks were further amplified by a story involving Mike Tyson. Reportedly, Tyson once offered to pay a zookeeper $10,000 for the chance to tussle with a gorilla. The zookeeper declined the offer, not wanting to lock Tyson in a cage with a gorilla. According to Akon, the zookeeper was, in reality, protecting the gorilla from Tyson.
